Latin Dance Lesson Advice

22nd September

If you’re a passionate latin dancer who wants to push the envelope and learn more salsa, merengue, bachata, or cha cha cha, then you’ll need to find a proper latin dance lesson. More importantly, you’ll need to discover a true method of becoming a great latin dancer. The thing to remember when it comes to latin dance lessons is that there are always many ways to actually learn. It’s not always about finding a studio and teacher. In other words, you dont always have to take a class. Here are some of our recommendations to enhance your latin dance skills:

1) Hit the clubs! Get out there and dance with people. Beginner or advanced dancer, you’ll need the practice.

2) Watch an instructional video! You can learn from teachers all over the world by checking out some latin dance videos

3) Find a dance partner. There’s nothing better than having a reliable friend or partner to practice with. And you can always use each other for motivation.

4) Practice at home. Dance with yourself! Taking your own time to get comfortable with the dance can be quite rewarding.

5) Listen to latin music, and I mean really listen to it. Hear the beat, observe the rhythm, feel the music. It’s great medicine!

6) And yes… you can actually take a latin dance lesson!

The bottom line is… get out there and dance. The world offers many forms of a latin dance lesson, and you don’t want to be limiting yourself if you’re really committed to salsa, bachata, merengue, cha cha cha, etc. etc…
