The style of dance here is called MODERN JIVE which is very popular in the UK, Australia & New Zealand etc. The dance is a fusion of Jive, Swing and Latin styles of dancing. …. Ballroom, disco and Northern Soul influences too!
“Ceroc” is a patented, franchised tradename for this style of dance.
BEGINNER’S ROUTINE :
FIRST MOVE FLICKSPIN
Same as a normal first move, but when lady is back facing you again,
Leaders left hand low and pulled to your right.
Also Leaders right hand placed on ladies left hip ( to steady her ).
Flick spin ( & releasing ) lady clockwise with your left hand. Also push slightly with your right hand at smae time to help with the clockwise spin ( & also avoid confusion for the lady )

FALSE CLEAVER
(with your left hand on ladies left shoulder)
CATAPULT into a check? push ( push out holding both hands)
(…then contiue with the catapult finish)

INTERMEDIATE:
FIRST MOVE BACKHANDER
(the signal is to turn ladies r hand with thumb down at start of move)
DOUBLE RETURN (by man using continuous backpass with right to left hand change)

We do have WCS now in the UK, But no ECS !
