Ladies Styling for Salsa Dancing

And now something for the ladies! This salsa dance video will provide the ladies a few styling tricks when social dancing with a good lead. Jocelyn will show the ladies how to take advantage of specific dance cues from your lead in order to perform clean salsa styling. Using this in your social dancing will help you enjoy playing with the instruments in a song much more enjoyable. As a note to leads, you do not have to fill in an entire song of back-to-back patterns. Always remember to leave some room for the ladies to style and enjoy the salsa song.

@DJTALLGEESE013579 Yes, all these moves are sociable (you can do them with any good dancer at the club WITH NO previous knowledge of the move – most salsa social dancing is this way). In this video, good advanced female dancers will learn the cues that allow them to style how they prefer to the song they are dancing to. Joce provides a sample, to get ladies started, in what they can do for styling.

Salsa social dancing is pure “lead and follow”, and most of Anthonys videos are leadable if you dance with a girl which is an advanced dancer even she does not know the moves, but masters body tension, stays on the line and takes offered hands. For me as a guy, it needs usually same training to get the right timing to lead the more complex patterns, but then it is pure fun if you meet a girl which spices up the dance with some nice sexy styling and follows exactly.

Anywho, i’ve got a few questions after this video. Like can you do these dance steps with a girl you randomly meet and expect them to know how to act or does it work better with people you know the dance moves?
I ask because these videos are always great but can you apply these moves the if you would regularly go out and get the same results?

i love how you guys actually explain how the lady should know when to do what. because i know i’ve been taught that i can do some styling but then idk when the guy is allowing me time or if it’s the appropriate time.
